Advance Pit Covers

Advance Pit Covers are designed, shaped and sized to fit easily into brick paved walkways. The lip of the base makes a flush fit with standard sized bricks making the earth pit blend in without the need for a cement surround.

The housing will withstand loads of up to 6,000 kilograms and is suitable for most commercial and industrial applications. The lid locks into the base and can be opened with a standard flat screwdriver. The base has three built-in slots for locating copper earth bars.

Installation

Ground Preparation

Excavate the hole to suit the pit, put a bag mix concrete pad to the pit to sit on, in order to create an even solid base.

Pit Placement

Set the pit in place, and connect the appropriate pipe work to the pit. With a grated pit the grates sits inside the pit.

Back Fill

Back Fill the hole with stabilized crushed rock or concrete depending on the load classification.

Protective Edge

All pits require a concrete surround at the top edge of the pit for protection against vehicle impact.
