FRP Pit Cover
Earthing Inspection Pits can be manufactured from a variety of materials. FRP for its light weight is an ideal choice.
The physical qualities of FRP with its excellent dielectric properties, high mechanical strengths, chemical resistance and zero water absorption make it ideal for this application.
JMV's light weight earth inspection housing has a maximum safe working load of 2000 kilograms. It is UV stabilized against degradation by sunlight and non-brittle to prevent cold weather damage.
The unique, detachable easy-locking lid ensures security of equipment . The base has built-in slots for locating earth bars. Its light weight feature allows easy handling, storage and transportation.

Installation
Ground Preparation
Excavate the hole to suit the pit, put a bag mix concrete pad to the pit to sit
on, in order to create an even solid base.
|
|
|
Pit Placement
Set the pit in place, and connect the appropriate pipe work to the pit.
With a grated pit the grates sits inside the pit.
|
|
|
Back Fill
Back Fill the hole with stabilized crushed rock or concrete depending on the load
classification.
|
|
Protective Edge
All pits require a concrete surround at the top edge of the pit for protection against vehicle impact.

Technical Details
FRP Earthing Inspection Cover possesses excellent resistance to organic solvents, degreasing agents and electrolytic attack. It is light in weight, resistant to staining, and has a low moisture absorption rate. This is a tough, heat-resistant, semi-rigid material, ideal for the transfer of hot liquids or gases. It has excellent resistance to acids and
alkalis.
